Description: By performing the above hand seals, a member of the Kanaduchi clan can send pure Steel Release throughout their body, revealing itself as a metallic sheen on their skin (clan members can have varying colors). This steel chakra can eventually affect the user at every level, transforming them into a being of unbelievable resilience. With enough training and experience, the chakra may convert every part of their body to even the cellular level, down to the very bone, including muscle tissue, higher-function organs, even the bloodstream. Such a drastic change has shown no side effects on the user’s health or combat ability as one might expect, for their body continues to function normally - the heartbeats and blood flows, lungs inhale and exhale, and muscles flex. In spite of a rather sizable increase in weight, the strength of the metalized muscle fibers more than make up for any expected loss in speed. At higher skill levels, this technique enables the Kanaduchi to create nails, wires, blades, and beams from their flesh to be used for a variety of applications.
The technique can be conducted without seals, but doing so limits the effects to a given part of the body (hand, forearm, head, etc.) and the seals must be invoked to spread.

One’s progress with their Steel Release has long been measured by their ability with this technique. Their current level of ability is commonly defined as their “Kabuseru level” in related techniques. Each higher-level carries over abilities from the previous levels (such as projections and transfiguration), while skillful aspects such as the speed of transmutation of the higher levels can be applied retroactively.



Level 1
At this stage, the skin can be converted into steel, providing an outer layer of protection.
Parameters: Upkeep (3), Boost - 10 Armor (8)

Level 2
At this stage, projections can be freely created from the skin, such as nails, wires, knives, and the like. Weapons (such as swords, spears, axes), shields, and other objects can be projected or retrieved. The user can transform portions of their body to represent weaponry as well. These can be retrieved and wielded to take advantage of the clan’s weapon styles, or simply left to protrude from the skin as a deterrent to enemy attack. The transmutation of the body can take place beneath the skin, strengthening bones and muscle tissue.
Parameters: Upkeep (3), Boost - 20 Armor (16)

Range: 0-5 meters

Level 3
The same cost and boosts as the second stage apply, although transmutation occurs flawlessly and swiftly throughout the entire body, personally reinforcing even vulnerable and complex organs. Control over any weapondry retrieved from the body is also greatly increased, allowing the user to manipulate their design and positioning without the need of physically touching them. This control is restricted to five meters out from the user.

Level 4
At this stage, the user achieves the ability of metal sculpting, applicable to their metallic form in indescribable ways. Transmutation occurs instantaneously at the cellular level, granting the most intrinsic fortification to their bodies, causing them to be reportedly indestructible while also turning them into paragons of strength.
Much more intricate portions of the body, including specific organs, can be protected as necessary without seals (effectively partial stage 2/3), if desired.
Parameters: Upkeep (3), Boost - 30 Armor (24), Boost - 5 Advantages Strength (10)
Benefits: Manipulation (5)
Range: 0-5 meters
Cost: 45



Range: Self; Extensions ranging from 0-5m (1)

Benefits: Manipulation (5)
Drawbacks: Extreme levels of heat conjurable by Fire Release and derived advanced elements may make the metal forms malleable, bendable, and if the user is impacted significantly while using this technique, they may suffer disfiguration, or worse.
As with all methods of the Kanaduchi’s elemental transmutation, the weapons and other objects created from the flesh through Kabuseru do not last indefinitely, though this has little effect in combat as the duration is not so short as to fail them in a time of need. It does prevent the weapons from being kept, traded, or gifted meaningfully, however.
Note: This jutsu’s name “Kabuseru” literally translates into the verb “to plate” as into coat with metal, or cover or overlay with metal plates for protection.

Description: A technique which enhances the targets gravity at the user's discretion. The enemy's mobility is diminished, as the person is crushed by gravity — and in some cases exhibit petrification-like symptoms and then began to crumble. The petrification symptoms only enact if the target has no Durability and is able to be enacted at the user’s discretion. When this technique is applied to the user it decreases their speed, but the increased weight drastically improves their strength. This method makes it possible for even a weak person to land a devastating hit. There are two uses of this technique: on the user and on a target. When used on themselves the technique has no immobilization on any target or themselves, though while the technique is active this can be triggered when the user comes into physical contact with someone or something. The post where the technique is used on an external target the cost jumps up to the higher one rather than being payed again.
