Ameya noted the comment with some concern. Of course it hurt; she was altering her body to be more like a chakra beast’s. Still, she didn’t seem injured – not physically, at least. From everything that the elder Uchiha could tell, Ahri didn’t seem to do anything overly dangerous save for her obvious temptation to use the Bijuu’s chakra. Well, that and push herself too hard during training. At least the latter part she could monitor. Unfortunately, the blue-haired girl wasn’t a member of her own village, or she might request to be assigned to this particular Jinchuuriki. That meant that whenever Ameya was gone, she could continue experimenting.
Soon enough, however, it came to be that Ahri was charging in with her usual style. This time, the Suna-nin decided to counter with a single kunai, whipping the weapon up into her right hand with an efficient display of dexterity. Held in a reverse grip, she side-stepped the kick, giving a quick counter-slash to Ahri’s clothing, just giving it a little nick to show where she might have hit, rather than trying to go for the gap between ribs underneath. “Aggressive as always,” she commented, crouching into a fighting stance.
