Clan Description: The Tomon Clan has resided near the East Gate of Kumogakure for as long as anyone can remember. They pass down a unique spider-based Hiden
Clan Characteristics: They often wear spider ornaments or embroidery upon their clothing and hide their third eye with a headband or hat.

Clan Personality: Crafty, Observant, Manipulative, and Malicious; the Tomon clan is by reputation not trusted lightly. Yet they will hold to the letter of their word. These traits tend to be exaggerated with age.

Bloodline Description: The Tomon clan hiden contains techniques for producing spider-like changes in their body as well as techniques that make use of these modifications in order to enhance their combat capabilities. In particular, they grow extra arms, an extra eye, and glands to produce chakra-based webbing.

Bloodline Limits: The web based techniques often require a period of chewing in order to infuse the webbing material with chakra.

Clan Traits:

Arachnoid Mutation
Type: Special Trait - D
Prerequisites: Member of the Tomon Clan or access to their techniques
Grow 2 additional pairs of arms from you shoulders as well an additional eye in the middle of your forehead. All are equally functional and you have the ability to coordinate their use efficiently.

Web Warrior
Type: Special Trait - D
Prerequisites: [Arachnoid Mutation]
You learn the secret techniques of the clan that, combined with your modified physiology, allow you to spin chakra infused web. You now have access to all web based techniques of the Tomon Clan as well as the ability to create web based custom techniques.

Triocular Superiority
Type: Special Trait - B
Prerequisites: [Arachnoid Mutation]; Proficient Awareness
You have become more adept at coordinating your multiple eyes to improve your aim. Gain +5 advantages to Ranged Skills.

I think this is ready. I toon out some of the more inventive stuff and made it more generic as instructed and just eyeballed the trait tiers. Please let me know if there are any adjustments to make. Also, I went with Tomon as that was the last name of the sole canon representative but I reember it was different on the ild site. I’m happy to change it if need be

One prob, the third eye can't see chakra, I don't think it should be giving you awareness either. It should give you something akin to an eagle eye at best.

I edited the tech to remove the chakra sight. I believe the +3 bonus to awareness is justified. Gaining an extra eye is a literal example of increasing awareness and the amount in question is the same bonus a sword gives to reflex - so it doesn't seem over the top. Additionally, Kidomaru demonstrates extreme amounts of awareness in his battles... and obviously the eye does something significant or else why would he modify his body that way?

The clan was unapproved based off staff not believing it should have Awareness involved in it's Trait so while you may believe it justified we do not. Kidomaru expressed a high level of Awareness throughout his battle even before he opened the third eye. We believe it absolutely does do something significant, however that significance isn't flat Awareness. I believe you are mistaken to think only a boost to a stat is significant. You can give it Awareness-esque Traits, Eva even suggested something like [Eagle Eye] as an example.

So have the clan special ability be a generic D-Rank trait like Eagle Eye? That seems kind of odd. Especially when the example of the clan is more mid range. Trying to think creatively, I could see giving an additional use of precog if you already have it as being worthwhile, or getting a generic trait at a discounted tier. Would either of those be more acceptable?

Doesn't have to be limited to D-Rank, Eagle Eye was just an example. A generic Trait at a discounted Tier probably not, but a slightly better version of a generic Trait at the same Tier is probably fine.

How about something like this for a slightly better version of a generic? I think it manages to feel in theme with the iconic character example that we have.

You can mark any target on the battlefield that you can see. You gain 3 advantages to ranged skills for the purposes of attacking your marked target with ranged attacks. You can only have one marked target at a time and cannot designate a new target until you have hit your marked target with at least ranged attack, or until you drop your mark for at least one post.

The concept of slightly better Generic Trait should not involve making a better version of a Generic Trait and combining it with another Generic Trait as you've done here. It's already a better version of [Marksman] as it applies to all ranged attacks, but then has the upside of [Instinctive Aim] of not needing to stand still.

The clan app as-written in its main post seems like it's all gravy to me. I'm approving it now, with the stipulation that staff may override me if they deem necessary.
