Descending from the higher points of the village towards the lower altitude Earth Construct, A was joined by Mitsuru alongside him. He was dressed casually, black and white pants alongside his black jacket, open-chested in the face of the face of the day's heat. Not too long before, the Raikage had the team assignments distributed for the three new teams of genin. For three of those genin, there would also be missives directing them to meet their new team near one of the bridges of the lower levels of the village promptly. It was a suddenly arranged meeting, to be sure, but A noted that it was a priority, and one that he had the privilege, in this instance, of assigning.

He paused his walking when he arrived at the bridge that he had designated as the meeting place. It was away from the center of the village, relatively quiet and isolated, save for the sound of the running water of the small river that cut through the village's lower level. On either side there was smooth, bare rock that marked the floor of the village. Connecting the two sides and crossing the width of the river was the Red Tenbin Bridge. It measured a hundred spans in distance, the bottom a solid and polished oak, with the sides decoratively carved as a series of tori gates, painted red which gave the bridge its name.

A came to rest in the middle of the bridge, letting out a sigh as he waited for the arrival of the genin, unsure exactly how long it might take for the three - Shikari, Taichi, and Kurotama - to assemble. The Raikage leaned back against one of the red painted railings, then glanced at Mitsuru. "How long do you think they'll take to show up?"

With their arrival, it was already set in stone what would go on next for the most part. Basic training, the name introductions, the sharing of skills, and so one would go on within actions and conversations. Mitsuru held onto Tosen's arm for a moment longer, giving it a light squeeze before letting it go. What would their teams look like? What could they do? The excitement and curiosity was already building with every step. It was strange how quick or slow things came together, but however fast they showed up would determine how their personalities were.

"I hope everything goes well, even if they show up late or early," Mitsuru quickly responded to his question as she started to completely leave his side. She would go over and rest her body against the bright red bridge itself as she let out a deep breath and started to situate herself. Maybe, they would be early. But, usually with the younger folk, they would end up showing up later to sorts of meetings. Especially if that event came so sudden as Tosen scheduled it. "I'm excited to meet them all, even your team."

"Mitsuru-san, how forward." Mumbled the Inuzuka under her blankets. She rolled over on her futon, a blush spreading over her cheeks. Hiroshi continued to nudge Shikari eliciting another mumbled giggle from the girl. "I thought you didn't like spicy food?" The ninken huffed in an almost sigh before hopping up on his hind-legs. With a loud bark that echoed off the walls, Hiroshi drove his paws into Shikari's side.

"IT'S MY FIRST TIME!" Shikari yipped, jumping to her feet and throwing a few chops at the air to fight off whatever intruder had attacked her. Looking around the same, empty room she only saw Hiroshi. "Oh, I fell asleep." She shook the bleary glaze from her eyes and looked over to the clock hanging near her doorway. "Hmm." She squinted. "Hmmmmmm." She took a few steps over to the wall and leaned dangerously close to the face of the clock.

"Shit."

Running through the village as fast as she could, Shikari looked down at the ninken easily keeping pace at her side. "Why did you let me sleep so late?" She gasped around her burning lungs. The ninken barked once, short and sharp, and gave her what could be mistaken as a glare. "What do you mean you tried to wake me up?" Another bark in return. Shikari skid to a stop with Hiroshi stopping a few steps ahead of her. The two locked eyes. "Forget everything you heard." Hiroshi tilted his head like a confused puppy but Shikari wasn't buying it. "Everything." The two stared one another down for what felt like minutes before Hiroshi finally sneezed. This seemed to be what Shikari was waiting for as she smiled and took off full speed again.

It didn't take as long as it could have for the pair to end up at the bridge but she could have been there faster. She slowed her pace as she approached the two she had just recently finished eating lunch with. Putting her hands on the back of her head and taking deep swallows of breath, Shikari sputtered out a few quick quips. "I see my people work fast." She let out a long "hooooo" of a breath. "Sorry I'm a bit late. I took a nap after eating." She bared her usual fanged smile and strangled a laugh out between her deep breaths.

Legs passed one another as Taichi's feet took strides across the Land of Cloud, a smile adorned his face he doesn't have a care in the world. The sun was shining on him and it was a great change of pace from the snow that was smacking against his window a few days ago, all of which had melted now and the puddles nearly all dried up. The town is busy, people walking back and forth at random bazaars speaking their own bartering language that doesn't interest Taichi, he is a ninja after all. The boy does need to get on some missions though due to his pocket feeling a bit light as of late. He passed the Genin entrance exams not long ago but he feels as though he has an obligation to his parents to help them out with ryo around the house. A voice came quietly behind the young Hozuki, it feels familiar, but too quiet to understand what the voice was saying nor who it came from. The boy kept walking down the street and a breeze came through the streets, most likely from the people walking fast near him and it made him pick up his pace a little bit.

The voice that came behind him only moments before caught up to him before he even knew what hit him.

"Tai! You're needed at the Red Tenbin Bridge!"

He still didn't know who it was exactly but the voice sounded familiar, he stopped his forward motion and looked behind him and instantly saw who it was through the small crowd of people. He was dressed officially and Tai's eyes widened. Could it be a mission? A single question crossed his mind and he didn't wait for the man to get any closer, instead, Taichi ran toward the opening of the village to the Tenbin Bridge. Not the yellow one, no no no, the RED one. The boy's sandy blonde hair bounced ever so slightly as he ran, the holsters for his swords on his back rubbed against each other as the steps came quicker and quicker. Finally the opening broke through and the Bridge was in sight. He could see two silhouettes near each other and one other person with a dog near them. Taichi stopped in his tracks, stumbling slightly due to the momentum he gained. He studied the figures as he walked forward noticing one dark skinned man with white hair dressed like he was ready to fuck somebody up, another woman with similar snow white hair dressed the same way, the third person was a shorter girl dressed more like a Genin, why did Tai assume that? Who knows, just a hunch.

As he got closer Taichi noticed that the man was the Raikage! Gasp! The boy's legs moved seemingly before his mind told them to. In the shock of the sight of his Raikage, Tai made a mistake. One that isn't good for first impressions, especially one from THE Raikage. As previously mentioned, Tai's legs moved faster than he wanted them to and it showed, the boy fell forward on the ground, the metal part of his Kumogakure headband smacked the ground with a TING. Not good. There's not playing this one off. He looked up to his Raikage and the other two there and just sat there, ass in the air still from fear of moving, he simply said, "Hi, I'm Taichi Hozuki."

Shortly after being assigned a team for the first time, Kurotama had received a somewhat mysterious message asking to meet rather soon with his team. Considering he was just a genin who didn't have a real job yet and was out of school now, he didn't find the short notice that alarming. His only responsibilities were towards Isuzu, and it didn't take long to bargain her watchful care with his foster sister. She was pretty easy to bribe. And so, without further ado, Kurotama found his way towards the meeting. He had a pretty casual pace as he approached, which probably explained why he arrived seemingly last and there was already a gathering under the bridge. As he strolled up, a blank expression on his face, the others would notice his rather casual attire: all black, sweat pants and a hoodie, his black hair disheveled.

He was surprised to see the Raikage there. Surprised, and a little tense as well. He had never personally met the man, but he was fairly certain he was a guy who was responsible for a few of Kurotama's troubles in life. Still, he was a powerful guy, and even if he was responsible for troubles he was also responsible for Kurotama's ability to build a brighter future for himself. At the very least, he could give the man that sort of credit. He didn't recognize anyone else present. He took a moment to appraise them: a wild looking girl with a dog, which made him crinkle his nose a bit, a goofy looking blonde kid who was sitting for some reason, and a pretty white haired woman leaning against the bridge. Seeing as she was older, and a woman, he was assuming that was the lady who was going to be his sensei.

He approached the group, hands in his pockets, and gave a bow of greeting, giving the deepest bow to the woman and to the Raikage. "Hey. Uchiha Kurotama."

One by one the genin arrived at the Red Tenbin Bridge as the Raikage and ANBU awaited them. The first to arrive was Shikari, and Hiroshi, too. He gave them a slight, familiar nod as they approached. She commented on how fast her people worked, and the Raikage grunted slightly in reply. "You are my people," he joked in reply, rolling his eyes slightly as he adjusted his posture leaning against the red railing of the bridge.

Following after Shikari and Hiroshi was Taichi. Both he and the genin that would follow him, Kurotama, were people that A had never directly engaged with before, though he knew who they both were. That much was his job as Raikage. When Taichi fell over himself, A pushed off of the bridge behind him and crossed the distance between them, crouching slightly as he extended a hand outwards towards Taichi to help the genin pick himself up off of the ground.

Finally, after Taichi, the Uchiha arrived and the Raikage observed him, too, just as the Uchiha observed him in turn. From there, A turned and glanced at Mitsuru after helping Taichi up (provided that the genin accepted such), and then folded his hands into his pockets and returned to the bridge, leaning casually against the railing. "Welcome, Team Cloud, and half of Team Heaven," he greeted.

It had seemed that the whole group was coming together, maybe in different manners but at least it wasn't too embarrassing. Tripping on things happens right? Mitsuru shrugged as she pushed her shoulders back and moved from the bridge pillar closer to Tosen, who was now leaning down to help the genin. "I am happy to meet you all, even if it is for a second time. Hope we all get along and... whatever people say." Mitsuru was on a roll for a second, but by the end of it she just let out a shrug. There wasn't much to say except for one more thing, "My name is Mitsuru Kazan, and I'm just a damn good smith in Kumogakure." She left out another important part, but oh well, who cares?

Mitsuru looked to each of them, "So, what do you all like to do? Or what would any of you like to learn?" It was a simple question but a good start. After all, they had known nothing about each other before this. Except, maybe Shikari likes to eat and cook, but the rest of them did not known them. A small smile entered onto the woman's face as her hands slowly came together and rested intertwined at her waist, better to be polite and open instead of throwing them into hard training immediately. Unless Tosen decides to throw them in immediately, Mitsuru would give them some time before... throwing them into it.

Despite having believed she overslept, Shikari had managed to be the first to arrive sans the Kage and his waifu. Her poke about her people being quick was snapped back with an equally witty response. Rather than attempt a battle of minds against the Raikage, she instead nudged Hiroshi. "He thinks you're people."

The second to show up was a blondie who was as clumsy as he was blonde, which was to say: clearly. Her laugh was deep in her gut as she wiped a tear from the corner of her eye. "Great form!" She threw her hands into the air like posts that someone would kick some kind of ball through for sport. "Ten out of ten!"

The second was a more reserved, and composed, guy. Shikari felt a little bit out of place with only herself and Mitsuru-san as the fairer sex. Suddenly she wondered which of the two would be teach her. Would it be sexist if the boys went with A and she with Mitsuru or would it be sexist if she was with A because she was the only girl? Thin lines, man, thin lines.

"Who is on which team? That was a little vague. Teams usually have three people though, yeah?" She scratched her head for a moment when an unacceptable thought ran through her mind. "YOU'RE NOT SPLITTING ME AND HIROSHI UP ARE YOU?" In one sudden movement she knelt down and wrapped her arms around the ninken's neck. "You can't do that, he'd be lost without me!" Hiroshi let out a low growl which was enough for Shikari to leap back to her feet and grin it off. "Oh, the uh, the message said the teams on it. My bad, my bad, just a little dazed from the nap I guess."

Mitsuru jumped into business which was a little surprising. Shikari had assumed that A was the take charge kind of guy and it really made her question what kind of relationship the two had behind closed doors. "I'm a crack shot with a bow on top of my clan's Taijutsu. Hiroshi's better at that though and he's way stronger than I am." After explaining a bit about herself she turned to Taichi. Second to show up, second to answer. That just made sense when you thought about it.

Almost as soon as he fell the boy was offered help from the Raikage, the authoritative man extended his arm to Taichi which he graciously accepted and with a slight tug, the boy was back on his feet with somewhat of a bounce. He smiled and chuckled as the girl with the puppy laughed at his fall and made a goal post with her arms. He just laughed it off with a shade of rosy red blessed his cheeks. Taichi didn't want to feel embarrassed with these new people but that's what seemed to always happen when he met new people, he would most assuredly become the class clown but his role in this group might just be rivaled by the Inuzuka in the group. "Team Cloud?" Taichi seems to be the one who didn't receive a message, he didn't know what was going on with these teams the Raikage spoke of. He wasn't sure which team he was on nor who his sensei was meant to be, he was given the notice of the meeting in the busy streets and didn't wait for any kind of note from the man who gave him the notice. Maybe he had some sort of instructions but Tai ran off before he was given one, who knows.

The girl with the dog was yelling and exclaiming about her and her pet being split up, it wouldn't make much sense at all to split someone from their pet regardless if it was a shinobi pet or not, that would be emotionally scarring for even the most warring of shinobi, but that didn't stop Taichi from attempting to take a jab at the girl like she did to him, "It's just a dog, what's the big deal?" His arms bent at the elbows at his sides as his forearms reached to the sky having his hands stop near his ears. "Anyways, I'm decent with swords, I haven't trained too much 'cuz I'm pretty fresh out of the academy. But I'm always willing to learn especially if it's with the great Raikage!" Tai whipped out one of his swords from his backside and let it rest at his sides as he looked to the Uchiha who entered the scene last with a big smile.

They were starting off by talking about what they were good at, which Kurotama guessed was good for this sort of thing. He wasn't sure still if it was a training or a mission or something else. Apparently, he wasn't the only one who was curious about that arrangement. Dog girl started talking and yelling for no reason it seemed like, making a big deal about being split from her dog? As if the dog was a teammate too or something. Kurotama resisted the urge to roll his eyes or to sneer at the pair. She talked almost enough for all of them. The blonde kid seemed kind of dumb but he liked him a little bit more after he made a jab at the new girl and her silliness over the dog. Then he was off being silly again with his whole whipping his sword out and stuff.

Kurotama watched them with a neutral expression until he was the only one who hadn't answered the question. He turned his eyes to his new sensei, occasionally flicking them over to the Raikage. "I use mostly taijutsu and ninjutsu, and I can use summons as well." Straightforward and to the point, as was his style. "I'm looking forward to whatever you can teach me. I know you're both strong and have a lot to offer."

Having returned to his position on the bridge, A watched first as Mitsuru introduced herself to the genin. It was, at best, a vague introduction, and at worst a lie by omission. Still, on a technical level, it was true, and A wasn't going to police how she might seek to teach her present student. In turn, the kage's inquisitorial eyes fell to each of the genin in turn as they introduced themselves. First was Shikari with Hiroshi, then the Hozuki boy. When Taichi made the comment about Hiroshi, the Raikage raised an eyebrow, interested in exactly what might become the boy for his remark. There were some here, it seemed, that were unfamiliar with the Inuzuka. A couldn't blame them for that, though. The residency of the Inuzuka inside Kumogakure was a relatively new phenomenon, of course.

Listening to the Uchiha's answer last, he seemed the most pragmatic of the three. While they all seemed willing and open to learning from A and Mitsuru, it was Kurotama that seemed the most straightforward. A was unsure if that boded well or not, though he only hoped that the young Uchiha might not be too disappointed knowing that he was not on the Raikage's team. If there was even a chance that he might be, A was sure it would be wiped away quickly enough. He didn't much expect Mitsuru to take it easy on her own team of genin.

"Team Cloud consists of Taichi and Shikari, as well as Hiroshi, whom I will teach. Kurotama will be on Team Heaven, along with another Uchiha, under Kazan-san's leadership." His explanation, in turn, was equally straightforward, before he moved to address Shikari's questioning about the situation and the size of the teams. "The graduating class was small this year, and three teams of two were organized for the time being. The third member of Team Heaven is currently in Konoha. To that end, we've decided to train the three of you together for the time being."

The Raikage went quiet for a moment as he shifted his position on the bridge, moving his weight form one foot to the other. "To start with, tell us why you want to become a ninja. If either of us," he paused, glancing at Mitsuru to indicate her as the other authority on the matter, "are displeased with your answer, you'll be immediately returned to the Academy. Any questions?"

They had all took the question and gave their answers, at least enough of them respected her despite that half-assed introduction from her. She let out a slight chuckle, the less they knew, the better in a way. The young Uchiha was her only student there, as the other was gone. Hopefully she could do enough for the boy. Maybe it would be better for her to pick up some Taijutsu practice after this or figure out what kind of Ninjutsu he was interested in. The tall woman outstretched her arms and let out a polite nod as they raised over top of her head. Mitsuru scratched the back of her head as she collected her thoughts, but it seemed the Tosen was already going to be hard on all of the Genin right from the start without any much more thought.

Mitsuru had already started to get some weapon ideas in mind, as that was the only reason she asked that question to the Genin. It was easier to go through her for weapons than others. Swords, bows, maybe some stuff to use with taijutsu. Mitsuru's hand moved to her chin as she lightly rubbed it. "I would hate to waste my time, so it's a good question to be honest," It was a strange response of agreement to what Tosen had told the Genin. Nothing less from him. Mitsuru didn't have much to say at the moment, as things were starting to get together. Introductions and hello's were not her strong point with others. Their futures were in their hands.

"Don't disappoint, let us know it."

Where her smile once stood the was now nothing but thin lines. Her face, usually flush with laughter, was now barren and cold. Just a dog? Just a dog? Typical. She thought with such venom that she was certain she had poisoned herself. The Inuzuka weren't from Kumogakure, her father had made that fact abundantly clear. Even years later, even having been born in this village, raised in this village, she was still an outsider. Just a dog? Her mouth tasted like iron, her longer canine teeth having split the inside of her lips in order to restrain herself. While she wasn't good at holding her tongue, she was even worse at hiding her emotions. Trembling against the urge to turn and splatter the boy across the bridge, Shikari found a small solace in the wetness that touched her clenched fist. Hiroshi nudged her but didn't push past that. He simply stood there, touching the girl, hoping to extend the calmness he felt to his lifelong friend.

Thankfully there was a distraction large enough to pull her thoughts away from the insult, meant or otherwise. Her eyes darted to the Raikage, nearly buried under her brow as she struggled to regain herself. The question was a heavy one but the repercussions for giving an unsatisfactory response were so much heavier. Her fists slackened but her jaw couldn't follow suit.

"My parents were shinobi." She began, voice strained with the effort of trying to stay an appropriate volume. Behind her words her teeth could be seen stained red from the force of her restraint. "They taught me everything they knew and enrolled me into the Academy to study everything they didn't know." Her shoulders relaxed and her face softened as she held tight to some memory she refused to share. "Now that they're gone, it's all I have left of them. When I wear this headband I can still feel them. I want to make them proud, no matter what." Her transition was abrupt and violent, from barely contained outburst to seeming so incredibly small in the span of a few sentences.

Taichi's body swayed slightly in the breeze that came through the area as he listened to Kurotama, he's such a serious guy and it made Tai a little uncomfortable due to the fact that it's practically the opposite of Taichi himself. Nonetheless, the boy listened to him and then the Raikage speak of the Academy graduates being smaller in numbers compared to earlier years. it made sense, with all the warring in the past it only made sense that the Academy would crack down on who would and who wouldn't become a shinobi, it shocked the young boy when he passed and got the headband validating all of his training with his parents to get through the Academy. I'm with this puppy girl? Man. . . He thought after the words came out of their Leader's mouth but he didn't have much time to think about that because what came next caught Taichi off guard to say the least. Why he became a ninja? He didn't have an answer for that and if he failed to answer correctly he was threatened with going straight back to the Academy! He couldn't regress, his parents wouldn't let him live if that happened!

His body stiffened after the question, he thought maybe it was a joke from the Raikage simply to lighten the mood maybe but it was strengthened in severity when the woman next to him spoke, Don't disappoint them? Holy shit. the tips of his swords fell to the ground but he was still holding them, his arms only loosened up enough to drop his hands. He was so caught up with all of this pressure he didn't notice how his comment on Shikari's dog started showing effects on the girl's psyche. She was clearly into her dog for some reason, the boy hadn't had much time to meet people while he was in the Academy and therefore doesn't know much about the others graduating with him or even before him, depending on how old she is. If it was a part of her clan he didn't do so well in that either only knowing of the major clans such as Uchiha and his own to name only a few.

She spoke, Shikari's explanation of why she became a shinobi was heart felt and meaningful. She spoke sort of fast, possibly due to the anger she was suppressing from Taichi's comments, who knows. Now it was seemingly Taichi's turn to speak. What would he say? Everything was going through his mind from the cliche to the personal but he was feeling pressured and couldn't think properly at first. He looked at the Raikage after Shikari spoke, then looked at the woman next to him, and then at Shikari herself after her small speech. He put his swords back in their holsters on his back and attempted to reach out to her with his right hand in consolidation. "I'm sorry for your loss." He was silly before and usually is whimsical in the way he carries himself but this wasn't the time for such a thing, this was very genuine and one could tell if they looked him in his eyes. "It's truly a terrible thing and I don't know what I would do if I lost my parents." He choked up slightly hoping his tone would persuade the girl that he was serious and not joking whatsoever. Also maybe this would help with the tension Taichi caused earlier.

Should she take the consolidation Taichi would then speak looking back at the Raikage, "I became a shinobi. . ." a pause came, he still wasn't sure what to say and didn't want to lie to the Leader of his village, "I became a shinobi because I felt like it was expected of me. I don't want to let anyone down and so if I have to help people by fighting for my village I want to be the best at it." so he didn't lie.
