The sun was just showing itself over the horizon, casting a golden light over everything in sight. There were rice fields to either side of the road, the workers up with the sun to make the more of their harvest. Shouri waited on the side of the dirt road. He was dressed in his regular attire, black pants, and black boots as well as his blue and black vest over top of a fishnet shirt. His headband secured around his forehead proudly displaying the Kemurigakure village symbol. Some shinobi liked to bear their old hidden villages symbol, Shouri, on the other hand, had made it his goal to see peace between the two nations and to wear the symbol is almost proof of his goal was accomplished. As nearly always, he had his two katanas handing from his waist each sheathed in black leather. He sat on top of a large boulder that he found on the side of the road, assuming the height would help his students spot him faster. He had a few other possessions spread out across the rock. He had a topographical map of the nearby area and a canteen of water, as well as a pencil he was using to make marks on the map. He had drawn on the location of the bandit camp and possible attack locations.
The Jonin finished his mental calculations and began to roll the map up. With his legs folded, he waited atop the rock for his students. Shouri slid the map into the inside pocket of his vest. He uncapped his canteen and put it to his lips, gulping back the liquid refreshment. Once he was satisfied he pulled back, releasing a deep sigh of relief. He wondered who would arrive first between the two. The sun crept higher and higher into the sky each moment. The mission would probably be something more easily accomplished at night, which is why Shouri wanted to take the Genin in the morning. A whole camp of bandits, alert and ready to take on the day of thievery. As an afterthought Shouri began to hope the bandits were morning people, how disappointing it would be to find a bunch of oversleeping criminal scum.
Having slept in past the time of the meeting Hotaru hurriedly ran through the village though, in reality, his speed was closer to an adult walking pace. I hope they didn't leave without me!! Worried that he'd messed up his first opportunity to leave the village on official shinobi business his eyes began to water, his right hand quickly brushed them away in fear that Nagi would make fun of him. That's if the lazy chump even decides to show up! The perverted shinobi hadn't shown up for the sparring session, so the state of his team seemed to be in flux. While he very much wasn't partial to Nagi he had just started to get along with him before the training session had begun, so perhaps he was too hard on the guy.
Finally arriving at the gates he saw that only his sensei was there, a wave of relief washed over him as he got all the confirmation he needed that the mission was still a-go. "Hey senseiiiiii!" Waving his arms enthusiastically he came hobbling over, panting due to his frail body. "Am I really the first one to arrive?"
All morning Hotaru had been buzzing about with excitement, putting on quite the show for his busy parents. He’d even taken to taking some hurriedly scribbled notes on some puppet designs to look into once he’ gotten back. Only having two his own puppet limbs could hardly be relied on as his main arsenal, realizing if they took any damage he was quite poorly equipped to deal with anything up close. The rough plans he had was to make a large puppet that could help keep him well defended up close, something in the general form of a large suit of armor. Rubbing the palms of his hands together he jumped up and down a little, unable to contain his excitement.

Taro had been waiting for news on the mission and when he finally heard what was the mission was he wasn't sure what to think at first. He then left for the meeting spot hoping that Hotaru and Shouri would already be there and they could just head straight for the mission as soon as he got there. Taro coulnd't help but feel excited at the thought of the chance to fight one of these guys, maybe even to the death. As he's approaching the meeting spot he saw Hotaru running up to Shouri waving his arms, it made Taro laugh slightly thinking of what he could possibly be saying. He then caught up to the two of them and looked at both of them for a moment." I'm glad you beat me here... now we can get going, i didn't want to wait long. Taro then started to think of how long this journey would be and how well they would get along for this amount of time.

Some time had passed since Shouri first arrived. It was fortunate for Shouri that he was in no rush, it was past the time for the meeting and neither Genin had arrived yet. The Jonin tried to pay little attention to it but he surely noticed that they were late. He didn't care too much about things like punctuality. If his memory served him correctly he had failed to arrive at all during the first meeting he was supposed to have with his students. Maybe that had something to do with Nagi, his third student, and why he hadn't shown up to their last practice. He didn't seem to plan on showing up for the mission either it seemed. Hotaru showed himself first and made his way over to the Jonin in an attempted hurry, wondering if he truly was the first to arrive. The Jonin could tell he had made an effort to get here quickly. He raised his hand in a wave, in response to his greeting. "Who knows, last time Taro was here before me. Didn't know it 'til you found him though." the Jonin would say lazily, stretching his arms behind his head before standing up on the rock formation. Coming out of the gates then was Taro, making his way over in slow long strides. When he got over to the two of them, he quickly started to express that he was in a hurry. All of a sudden the shy boy from the training exercise had turned into an eager young shinobi. It struck Shouri as strange though, if he wanted to go so badly why would he show up late? He had one student who seemed to be accidentally late who hurried to make up for it, and the other who seemed to be late by a calculated effort to reduce the amount of time he spent waiting around. They seemed to have a lack of discipline and a problem with patience, respectively.
"Well, I wouldn't want to keep you waiting then." He said with a touch of sarcasm, wondering if the boy knew how he had waited here, planning the mission. It was not that long in truth, but it was enough to spark a response in the young Jonin. After giving a moment for the statement to set in, Shouri spoke again. "The camp isn't too far from here. A little up the road is where we head into the wood. Once we're close we will go over the 'plan' and I'll show you a map of the area." The Jonin would provide a short break after his explanation for any questions the two of them had, then he would hop off the rock and begin walking away from the village on the road. Assuming the Genin would follow him he walked for nearly 10 minutes before turning towards the side of the road. "Here it is. Time to pick up the pace." With that, the Jonin took off, jumping to and from tree branches and rocks where he could. He stayed off the ground as much as possible and made his way towards the bandits camp.
(OCC: Hey-o! Sorry I missed the training topic. I would love to join the mission as a part of the team if that's okay with you guys!)
As Nagi scoured the village looking for Hotaru and Shouri, he could hear the loud shrill sounds that usually came out of the young puppet user's mouth. As Nagi approached the clearing, he witnessed another boy that he didn't recognize along with Shouri. The way they had gathered made it look like they were preparing to do some sort of team activity. Although he had missed out on the training session or whatever it was Shouri asked them to do last time, Nagi was interested in joining to see what kind of misadventures could arise. Before the group moved to leave the area, Nagi would walk towards them with his hands in the air waving to his sensei frantically.
"Shouri! How could you forget about me? I'm hurt!" A look of anguish appeared on Nagi's face that quickly turned into a smile.
"Just Kidding!" he said as he stopped his arms. "I know I'm a little late. Could I join in whatever it is our team is doing?"
The screwy genin would turn his head over to the unknown genin and salute with a serious look on his face. "Greetings fellow teammate. My name is Nagi Kumada." Without waiting for a response, Nagi would turn to his sensei and ask; "So what are we doing here? This some sort of mission or something?"

Almost as soon as Hotaru opened his mouth he heard Taro behind him, glad to know that they could get on with the mission so quickly. Crouching down he leapt into the air in triumph, only to have Nagi come right into his field of vision and sour the look on his jubilant face. Returning to the ground the frail boy lost his footing and stumbled, his cheeks flushing a deep red in anger and embarrassment. “Oh nooooow you show up!” While the young boy was undoubtedly annoyed he was also glad to have a full team now, it felt so much more official than before. “I guess I wouldn’t mind too much, I’ll just show you up even more!!” The hot-headed Genin shouted his opinion on the matter, knowing that the decision was ultimately up to Shouri.
Burying his fists in his armpits he pouted at the stalling mission that they were just about to set off on. This was supposed to be his first mission! Full of glory and kicking ass and his new goal of showing Nagi up. Hotaru was feeling pretty darn confident after the last training exercise, even though he and Taro lost it hadn’t felt like a loss with all he’d learned. The caveat of this mission was they weren’t allowed to kill any of the bandits, which wasn’t exactly difficult for Hotaru as he didn’t quite have the disposition for murder quite yet. At least as far as he knew. Luckily he had plenty of tools at his disposal that worked in favor of this limitation, be that clones made of chakra or the spools of wire within his puppet limbs. I need to make to stand out on this mission! Even if I graduated recently I could probably qualify for the Chunnin exams if I really pull out all the stops in front of sensei.
