It was amazing. Truly astonishing even in the genin's eyes when she witnessed Ameya simply put dance on her limb. It felt like she barely weighed more than a feather. How...was something Ahri would have liked to ask but training was still ongoing and she couldn't stop now. Practice more? She'd drill it into herself until it succeeded. Ahri did not lack much creativity but against Ameya none of it seemed to work. Her nimbleness being the main culprit of that. If only she could somehow limit the elder's ability. Somehow. Or...match it? "hmm..." her only audible response as she dropped her arm in an attempt to make Ameya fall.

Of course, she didn't fall and instead leaped away to prevent such a thing.

Ahri stood up, resheathing her tanto whilst thinking about her next move. The worst of this all was that Ameya yet had to use a single ninjutsu - Ahri in the meantime was all but spent already. There was one more thing she could do in an attempt to match her sis's speed. Her knees bend before once more the girl propelled herself off the branch - onto a new one. Then another and another and another one. The gap between the sisters closed rapidly and Ahri's momentum increased with every step. Her body would spin as the tanto glinted once again. "Spinning slash!" she echoed within her own mind as the battle continued! An attack both meant to attack and defend.

Whilst moving up and back to a higher branch, the kunoichi watched Ahri closely, looking for the moment when the younger girl might give chase. She had a healthy aggression, which wasn't a bad thing. Her time in the Konoha academy had taught Ameya a play-to-win attitude that rewarded striking first and striking hard. While the Suna academy had been adequate to the training of a shinobi, it was the Uchiha's strong start in Konoha that had allowed her to graduate from the Land of Wind's program in only a brief year. For her part, Ame thought it was easier to start from a place of aggression, and then tone it back if needed, rather than trying to teach someone naturally timid how to really go in. Ahri seemed to have none of that hesitation, and that satisfied the Suna-nin where looking for a base to start from went. I guess I really am training her. Out of most of the young Uchiha I've met, though, she seems to be the fastest to develop. We'll need her, she thought to herself.

Ahri made her leaping charge, then, spinning around with knife in hand. The sun reflected for an instant off of the blade as Ame countered, backing away and letting a coil of chain unfold. It attempted to ensnare the blade itself and counter the momentum that the younger Uchiha was spinning with, to yank the tanto from her hand and send it spinning to the ground.

Chain whipped and Ahri already knew she was in a world of trouble. Even after everything so far, she had no answer to the chain. It was actually pretty complicated to keep track of it. "Tsh" she prepared herself in advance, right going back into the pouch in preparation for another throw, although all her kunai throws had been fairly ineffective - they served their primary purpose. A distraction of some sort. The chain wrapped itself around the tanto blade and with almost no effort Ameya managed to fling the weapon out of Ahri's hand. "dammit!" she cursed to herself as she threw the kunai with she held in her right.

Her speed had been slowed and her weapon was gone but it did not matter, she'd press on and get that hit in. No matter what. Ahri landed on a nearby branch before pushing herself off like a spring with clenched fists towards her elder sister.

Chain circled as yet another projectile was flung at the Suna-nin, who miraculously turned midair, flexing her core to twist into a dodge of the thrown kunai. As it went by, she retreated another step up a limb, hearing the weapon thunk into the wood nearby while the chain retracted, tugged by a sharp bend of the elbow. Another swift dodge of Ahri's charge, this time another fist balled and aimed to strike. She was trying her hardest, but the senior combatant had no issue turning aside and dancing away, her weapon trailing behind. Dropping back to ground level, Ameya rolled and popped up to her feet, spinning and allowing the kama to whip around her body to deter any close chase. She didn't want to hurt the girl, but had a suspicion that her 'little sister' wouldn't just blindly jump into danger like that.

In a completely unorthodox way, her elder managed to evade her attacks completely without suffering any harm. Ahri flew past Ameya already thinking of what she should do next. Whilst her sister repositioned on the ground level, Ahri instead opted to reposition herself on a nearby branch, turning around and looking downwards towards the other Uchiha. "Sis you are kinda...untouchable." the girl said with a grin. "But I'll keep trying until you are!" she announced with a raised clenched fist. Perhaps today Ameya was faster, probably tomorrow as well - maybe even for another full year - but Ahri would not stop until her goal was achieved!

"Question!" she began as their spar had halted into a stalemate for the time being. Winds rustling the trees into life. "what would you do if someone was faster than you onee-chan?" Ahri had thought of anything she could think of to try and match her sis but maybe that was not the answer - maybe there was something better she could do. After all, there was no way that being faster automatically meant you won...right?

That goal, the desire to see herself land even one hit on her elder, left a strong impression on Ameya, who nodded. She had no doubt that with proper cultivation, they'd be able to spar evenly, one day. As a Jinchuuriki, who knew - perhaps Ahri would surpass the elder Uchiha. She didn't see that happening for a while, but as she lazily spun her weapon by a small length of chain, the Genin posed a question that Ameya hadn't really had to worry about for a long time. What if someone consistently faster than her appeared? The Kazekage was supposed to be quite fast. What would she do against him? The girl paused, making a soft, "Hmm," as she considered the question, though really there were many ways to win. Ameya's true speed, she knew, was indefensible - within a certain range, there was no one faster than her. She seemed to consider the question seriously for a long, long moment. "I guess I'd just have to go even faster than that," she replied, nodding. "But we're of a special blood, one that's not so common anymore, so we have gifts that others can't even dream of," the ANBU continued, her eyes brightening from their usual glittering black to a crimson, dots of sable swirling to a trio of tomoe around the pupil. "When your eyes are trained well enough, no movement will escape them, and you'll be able to see blows coming from even the most seasoned fighters. You'll still need to train your body, since if you can't follow up on the information from your eyes, it hardly matters, but... we're special."

The red glow in Ameya's eyes caused Ahri's own blue eyes to widen. The Sharingan, their clan's most prized 'possession'. Sought after by everyone really and known to be one of if not the strongest doujutsu in the world. Ahri knew that if she somehow was one of the lucky ones that she'd definitely be put into a more advantageous position. Ahri knew how special Ameya was but the jinchuuriki herself wasn't even sure if she'd ever unlock it herself. "Guess I'll get you when my eyes turn all red and glowy like yours then huh? Or...I'll just become faster than you!" she said with a tooth-white grin.

Another kunai, her last one - twirled into her hand before she lazily spun the object around her index finger. "How can I get those eyes? Do they just appear? Do I have to train for them?" the child Uchiha was never told or shown what really caused The Sharingan to appear let alone how to know whether she was able to get it herself or not. After all, not many were left with these blessed eyes although it was a common thing within her own household - yet she herself still hadn't unlocked it.

Post subject:  Re: rawr xD

A soft chuckle left Ameya's parted lips at the idea of Ahri becoming faster than her. There was the possibility, outside of that technique, that it could happen - especially considering the legendary speed with which Matatabi, the Bijuu that gave Ahri her blue fire, could move in stories. The girl had a long way yet to go, however. "Maybe," she replied first, winking with one of those crimson eyes. The next question should not have been unexpected, but it still paused the Uchiha, her eyes suddenly seeing far away.
Flashback
The tan bricks below her feet fairly radiated with heat, causing the young girl to feel as though her tabi would melt and fuse with her soles. She leaned against a wall in the alley nearby - information had come to her through the civil services agent handling her family's immigration that her parents would be released that day, though word had gotten around in some other way, as well. A crowd of angry protestors had gathered, muttering or sometimes shouting about the Leaf and their agents, what people they had killed, and how monstrous they had to be. With long, dark hair, pale skin, and onyx eyes, Ameya had quickly understood how out of sight she needed to be during that time, and so hid in the shadows, watching the door to the intelligence building, where certainly her family would emerge at any moment.

It wasn't fair, of course. Konoha had retaliated against an attack by the Hidden Rain, and Sunagakure was a fair military target in such a war. She had been taught that in the Academy while her parents fought on the front line - or even behind the enemy line. They hadn't committed any crimes by the rules of shinobi warfare. They were simply good at their job. In fact, had the Mist not betrayed them, the Leaf would likely have won the war in total, and she'd be home now, where the shade of trees relaxed her on lazy afternoons after class, and -

A movement from the building ahead caught those idle thoughts and froze them, then. A pair of individuals were shoved from the entrance, the door slammed shut behind. One of them, a man with a slight limp and a red-stained bandage over one eye, had his arm around the other, a dark-haired woman with a mother's figure, stooping slightly to help the male stand. Ameya squinted - who was that? Weren't her parents to be released? "There they are!" shouted a voice from the crowd, a growling man with a Wind accent that carried with it the tone of malice. "You killed my brother," the same voice rose, to a few angry rumbles of response from the crowd. Even as young and inexperienced as she was, the mood could easily be felt by the young girl, and she tensed, gripping the corner of the building as her eyes scanned nearby rooftops and streets for Sunagakure's home guard, the shinobi that kept the peace within the village walls. None could be seen.

A sudden movement took her attention away from her steady scan, a fast-flying stone that came from somewhere in the crowd. The couple huddled on the steps to the building turned in to one another, hiding their faces as the rock, well aimed, hit the man in the back. He stumbled, but the woman held him, trembling. "Please, stop! It's over, we just want to live in peace!" she turned and cried, and Ame's eyes widened further. She knew that voice. It had sung to her sweetly at night, and scolded her when she took an extra cookie. It was reason and safety twisted to a tone she'd never heard; that of the pleading and fearful.

"Tell that to my family, bitch!" another voice came, and another rock flew, this time aimed for the struggling woman. Ameya knew it would never hit her as the previous one had hit the man. She wasn't injured like he was, and could easily dodge if she wanted to. A small yelp left Ame's lips as the stone struck with a crack against the side of the woman's head, and she let slip a pained cry. The crowd had grown silent, now, as the target of the attack reeled, red mixing with her dark hair and dripping onto the sandy steps of the building. The pair now looked to be leaning against one another as much as one was holding the other up.

It was a tipping point. Violence had been done with a visible repercussion, now - the blood spilled by the angry stone was fresh and bright in the mid-afternoon sun, and the crowd for the first time saw just how injured the two really were. They were not exactly the monsters that the people wanted, just then; only a young couple who were recently tortured and released only when their secrets were no longer worth tormenting them. A silent murmur went through them, and a couple of the individuals at the back actually turned to leave. "What?! No, fuck them! They deserve this! My dad and my sister died because of these bastards! Throw another one!" a woman's voice suddenly cried, her attention turned to the person next to her. The crowd's muttering paused, and Ameya could feel the mood turn darker as another voice cried out. "Yeah, another one! We're just going to let them walk away?!"

Soon insults and angry shouts were flying again, but this time much darker, not crying out for lost or hurt loved ones but instead statements of vengeance and threats. It was too much for the young girl watching from the corner. She stepped forward, determined to step between her parents and the crowd, to defend them if she could. A hand on her shoulder stopped her cold; she hadn't heard whoever it was come up behind her, and their firm grip betrayed a strength that could crush her small frame if it wanted. "You're the daughter," a soft but deep voice intoned from somewhere above her, and the girl suddenly felt a fear in her heart that transcended her desire to protect. What would he do? She was in danger; there was no doubt in her mind. She'd let the enemy sneak up on her. She'd come within their striking range. She was dead. Only she hadn't died, yet. Timidly, as more rocks began to fly on the steps of the intelligence building, the girl slowly turned her gaze upward. A dark-skinned man in light uniform and a Sunagakure headband displayed proudly greeted her with a stern expression. "You're thinking of going out there, of standing with your parents - maybe covering them. It's not a good idea," he stated. "You have options. You could go to them, but the crowd right now... hn. They probably would hesitate only a little to strike a child who looks so much like their enemy. You could also go back to your interim apartment; walk away now. They'll remember when you're enrolled into the academy, however - and resent you. They'll feel like they missed their opportunity, and plot against you," he stated, and to the girl it sounded like reasonable truth. To her scared, scattered mind, there was nothing she could do. She was doomed no matter what. "But... there is another option," the man continued, producing a small, smooth stone from his pocket and holding it down in front of her in his palm.

Ameya's heart thudded in her chest as she stared down at the ugly brown rock, even at her age understanding the implication of the offer. "If you ever want to truly live here, even a little at peace... throw, and throw well. Strike hard," he stated with a cold logic, and the girl's small hand folded around the rock, hefting it as she was surprised by its weight. The girl swallowed, and threw a guilty look over at where her mother and father now lay on the steps, father bent over his wife, trying to cover her with his body, and his own head with his hands. Could she do it? Could she throw this stone, and absolve herself at the cost of her family? Her pride? Her love? Her hand lowered, head unconsciously shaking.

It was then that Ameya noticed her father looking in her direction, first glancing at the man behind her, then to the stone in the girl's hand, and then her face with his one good eye. Where before, he had been a mask of pain and pleading, begging the crowd to spare the two, now his jaw set, eyes relaxing to that calm dull black that she knew so well. Our Will of Fire is what helps us endure. Protect that which is precious to us, no matter what. It's all done for one thing, one ideal, one future. You're our future, Ameya, and that's why we have to go, she remembered, a time when she was younger, when she begged them to stay with her instead of going on a mission. She wasn't sure why those words came to her then, but his slight nod had her fingers tightening around the rock, and stepping forward. This time, she was allowed, and she only took a few steps for momentum before grunting with the force of her throw, aim impeccable, smashing into her father's face and splaying the blood of a broken nose across it. A sound she wasn't familiar with at the time played out behind her. It wasn't until much later that she realized it was the sound of a weapon returning to the sheath.

"Murderers!" she cried, and the crowd hardly seemed to notice her black hair, the tears streaking down her face, or the red eyes they came from.
End Flashback
"It'll come in time, if you have it. We'll work on it; I think I know something that might help," she stated, her voice a little more flat than usual.

"something that might help huh..." Ahri pondered for a while, placing an index finger on her lips as she went into thinking mode. Her mother always used to say that if she ever managed to unlock the 'blessed' eyes that she'd have to go and talk to her about how she did it. The child never understood why but it was whatever she guessed. With a shrug, she refocused on the spar at hand. "Sis I'm going to show you something really cool!" she announced with proud. "Watch this!" The child Uchiha closed her eyes briefly as she began to tap into chakra that was deeply hidden within herself. "So you choose to approach me" it echoed from within her - that was when her mind went blank.

Eyes opened but blue was no more - instead there was only glowing amber resonating from her eye sockets. Canine-like teeth had grown longer and a very faint blue chakra enveloped her body. Without warning she attacked, dashing with kunai in hand straight for Ameya turning only when she reached Ameya for a vertical slash followed up by a brutal kick for the stomach area. Regardless of whether of not her attacks would hit - the faint blue chakra would subside while simultaneously her eyes would turn backto their unnatural blue. Teeth withdrew back to their normal size and soon that familiar grin could be seen all over her face once again.

An eyebrow raised as she was brought back to the present, the young girl claiming to be ready to show Ame something she'd not yet seen. It could have been another high-level Ninjutsu; certainly she'd swung about the Shuriken Shadow Clone with only little difficulty. Ameya, however, wasn't keen on the idea of her using too much more chakra. The Uchiha opened her mouth to state her concern, but something ominous suddenly seemed to darken the forest, as a well-timed gust of wind blew a flurry of leaves between the pair. While the chakra might be visible to anyone who happened to look, to the Sharingan, it was more than clear; this was not Ahri's power. It was something else entirely. Eyes widened, and though the girl was not much quicker than before, her sudden dash had Ameya reacting only to dodge, her cat-eyed opponent suddenly boasting much more stopping power than usual. She seemed to blink to the right, perching herself above the ground - and Ahri - perpendicular to the tree trunk that her feet adhered to. Is she aware of what just happened? Is she going to attack again? Is Matatabi threatening to break free? The thoughts rolled through Ameya's mind rapidly, almost all together at once, before the cloak of dangerous chakra faded from the other girl's form.

"Ahri?" she asked, the grin up at her signaling that, at least for the time being, the aggression she'd felt was gone. "You probably shouldn't do that on a whim," she lightly scolded, wondering how the seal on her younger counterpart fared if she did this so easily. "But thank you for showing me."

"But that was pretty cool right?!" Ahri stated with a small jump and a laugh. "I learned to do this thing recently where I just forget about stuff and bam!" the girl wasn't super sure why or how she could do it, but she could and it was awesome. She once managed to punch wood straight in half without harming herself - although that was but a vague memory.

The training wasn't over and the small blue Uchiha was already thinking of options to re-engage her elder sister. Eyes scanned the tree. Fire was an option but she had that feeling she had before - right before chakra exhaustion. If she'd attempt to use another ninjutsu she'd probably be down in pain again. Besides she didn't wanna harm the tree either. The girl then considered climbing the tree but her inner self said that it was a bad idea against Ameya. Not only was Ahri much slower, Ameya would probably counter in some kind of way long before Ahri would reach the tree. Then a light bulb appeared. What if she dashed straight up? Surely that was the fastest and most efficient route, right?

Knees bend and like a spring she shot upwards and towards Ameya, aiming to strike her with a powerful uppercut!

The girl in the red kimono nodded slightly at the query. Matatabi was, at least, supposed to be the most polite of the Bijuu, but it was still a trapped beast with the cunning to tempt their host and the desire to be let free. Not particularly surprised that Ahri had the will to go on, when the smaller girl settled back into her fighting stance, Ame honored her tenacity by moving into a slight crouch from her position on the tree. When the other girl coiled her little body for a high jump, red and black eyes recorded the movement, each muscle tensing in preparation to attempt a punch at the Suna-nin before she leaped with all her might, trying to reach Ameya in the shortest route possible. For her part, not wanting to expend too much more energy, the ANBU slid to the side while still channeling chakra to her feet, sticking to the tree and avoiding the uppercut while moving laterally along the trunk. She had foregone the counterattack for now, preferring to allow Ahri to attack her without retaliation - for the moment.

The uppercut missed but this time Ahri anticipated it! None of her attacks so far had hit Ameya - she wasn't counting on them to hit, at least - not yet. As her elder sister dodged and moved alongside the trunk of the tree - Ahri pivoted, channeling chakra of her own to the bottom of her feet before dashing into a pursuit. Another strike from her right followed by a lunge from the left - left foot would stop her in her tracks as to not go too far in but also to allow the blue Uchiha to swipe a kunai out of her pouch with her right before quickly following up her previous attack with a sweep that went in an arc horizontally across Ameya's chest.

The sound of a knife going through the air could be heard and a very quick thought popped up in Ahri's mind. "I'm hungry...again!" the pair had been training for hours, still...even with the girl being tired she loved every second of it. Having someone she could look up to, someone she could train with, someone she loved and missed when separated. The girl was having a blast and she'd show her sister that with her resolve and tenacity!

The quick followup showed that Ahri had anticipated not connecting, and Ameya stayed within range to allow the younger girl a chance at her next couple strikes. She weaved into her dodges efficiently, smiling. While she'd initially wanted mostly to recruit more Uchiha, and especially once she'd found out the blue-haired girl was a Jinchuuriki, Ame found herself having fun teaching the girl. She really did feel like something of a little sister - which on some level worried her. When the time came, could she really thrust someone like this into danger? Would her personal feelings get in the way of her goals? I'll have to work through it, she thought to herself as she stepped back, narrowly avoiding the kunai slash with expert timing.

The training had gone on for some time, but Ame reserved her strength, knowing that she'd need enough chakra to transport back to Sunagakure. They hadn't done or shared too much, so she wouldn't need to enact any precautionary techniques, but the ANBU wanted to be sure that if anything happened, she had a little extra in the tank. I don't truly want to induct her until we can see if she can awaken the Sharingan, anyway. A Jinchuuriki is powerful, but when people see the saviors of Konoha... I want them to see red eyes.

"Jeez" the girl thought as her last attack missed just barely. Quickly and with a simple twirl of the kunai, she transitioned the sweep into a quick lunge that she meant to follow through completely. This wouldn't work, at least not on Ameya, anyone else? Very likely. Hell, the spars she had done against other academy students were far easier to deal with. Usually, it took her one to three attacks...Ameya had cost her hundreds! The girl at least felt like her movements were more straight forward and less wasted on flashiness. Yet...she felt like physically she was just incapable of touching Ameya. Ahri jumped back onto a branch. A straight face clearly visible on her facial expression. It was true that she was enjoying the time spent with Ameya greatly, however, she wanted to learn more and learn faster.

"Sis...can you teach me how to unlock the Sharingan?" she asked with a small sigh while pointing with her index finger towards the crimson demonic eyes of her sister. That must have been what she was missing. Those eyes, if she could obtain the same powers as her sister then surely she'd be able to fight her on more equal terms! Or so she thought.

The next pause left a question in the air that Ameya had yet to address. She had a vague idea, of course, but she wasn't exactly ready for it just yet. "I can try, but likely not today," she replied. "I need a little time. It's not a matter of just training, exactly, though there is that. There's a special thing that has to happen," the Suna-nin replied, standing on the tree trunk and watching her. "If you can unlock it, we will. Next time," she stated. It wasn't an empty promise; if she could use the Sharingan, Ameya would dig it out of her.

“Hmpf fine but!” The girl said with a grin as she pointed once again towards the edgy red and black eyes of Ameya Uchiha. “It’s not fair to use your Sharingan then until I got mine!” Their physical ability was already far far far apart. The eyes causing even more drift was overkill. Ahri had to think of a new way to approach Ameya though. She knew and had reminded herself multiple times but aside from some praises she achieved nothing. In addition to running out of creativity she was also running out of stamina. Jutsu was definitely something she couldn’t afford anymore. Except...ah yes!

The girl bend the knee as she placed the kunai between her teeth. The taste of steel akin to silver was kinda weird but funny at the same time. Two tiny hands clasped together for a single handseal and in a puff of smoke she’d dash off with body as light as feather straight past Ameya in an attempt to cut her as the blue kitten passed by. The flicker would stop a meter or two behind her teacher as the blue Uchiha turned on the balls of her left feet while dropping the kunai from her jaws before proceeding to kick it straight towards the general lower section of where Ameya would be!

A slight curl of lips left Ameya with a small smirk as Ahri made her demands. Her eyes faded from crimson to their usual glittering ebon. It honestly didn't matter; there was no version of Ahri that stood a chance against any version of Ameya right now. This was their first training session, ever; to be struck would be a failure of hers, not a triumph of the Genin's. The Suna-nin side-stepped the original straightforward dash, untouched by the knife between the Jinchuuriki's teeth, and turned as she let the girl pass. A simple spin of her weapon was enough to deflect the kicked kunai, and she gave a little room, backing into the space that Ahri had just left as they essentially switched places.

That was it for weapon and chakra tricks - unarmed and tired the girl looked up at her adversary. The girl felt exhausted, her body tingled in pain as she drew breath heavily. "I-I don't think I can another technique..." chakra had become extremely scarce, even the body-flicker technique had proven to be too much for her. "Not yet..." a thought as she pushed herself to move forward. "I haven't...touched her yet." another step, legs beginning to shake. "This one will hit!" why was it always so sudden? One moment she felt fine and another moment she was out of nowhere extremely weak and fragile. It was as if all the veins in her body had decided to fire up all at once in an instant.

"I'll use it again and then..." a final thought before her mind went completely blank. "A-" the letter formed from her lips before her lifeless body tumbled backward off the branch.

Without her Sharingan active, Ameya could only guess at the state of the girl's chakra level. Still, she knew that Ahri had to be running short after the display that she'd undergone thus far. This proved true as the other girl moved forward a single, shaky step, and then lost her footing, shoe sliding against the tree bark to topple, limp, from the tree itself. Geez, take it easy! the ANBU thought to herself as she sprung forward and dropped out of the foliage, herself, snatching Ahri on the way down and then rolling along the soft forest floor to let loose the momentum from the fall.

Glancing down at the exhausted girl in her arms, Ameya sighed. "You're ridiculous. Pace yourself," she scolded lightly, beginning to move back to their clearing.

Vision was hazy and body felt heavy but the words of her elder counterpart were loud and clear. A weak smile formed from her lips as Ahri shakingly moved her hand to bump softly against the soft chest of Ameya. "I...did it" came from her lips. A weak and dry voice before vision completely faded into blackness. Blue eyes faded into nothingness and interestingly enough turned pitch black before they eventually closed into slumber.

The warm body of Ameya made the young Uchiha cuddle up against her elder sister's chest. A soft smile remained on her face. A moment Ahri wished she could stay in forever.

The slow-moving hand allowed to make its way to her, Ameya simply walked in the fading afternoon light, shaking her head a little at the show of purely pyrrhic resistance. Now, it seemed, Ahri was fully unconscious, and the Suna-nin had a few doubts about awakening her. She'd already become nigh-exhausted once, and now had pushed to actual fainting. I probably shouldn't handle students... or at least, not spirited ones, she mentally commented as she made her quiet way back to their little picnic spot near the pond, the Genin in her arms. As the tree line gave way, she knelt, laying the smaller girl down in a seemingly comfortable spot between the roots of one of the great trunks, where soft moss and soil made a half-way decent bed. She knew that she should probably be getting back to Sunagakure, at least just to check her messages and make sure that she hadn't been called on, but she'd been gone all day - a little longer just to be there when Ahri woke up certainly wouldn't hurt.

"Wake up!" it suddenly echoed within the back of her mind - the girl suddenly jumped up. Previous light blue eyes were now nothing more but an onyx colored variant. "huh" a look of confusion clearly expressed on her face. "oh...weren't we..." the girl murmured to herself before coming to the realization that she had blacked out. Eyes widened as Ahri sporadically looked around her in search of a certain important someone. She relaxed and shoulders eased up from tension as her eyes rested on what she was looking for.

A warm smile curled up from her peach lips, "I thought you were gone already...hi!" her voice turning from a relieved tone to an upbeat and excited tone. "Sorry for falling asleep hehe..." the young Uchiha said while bringing her right hand to the back of her head-scratching it with awkwardness. Shortly after, eyes flashed back into their bright blue shade once more.

The elder of the girls had a decent amount of time to sit and think while Ahri recovered. The Suna-nin had determined that her charge was not in danger of losing her life, but it was obvious she needed the rest after the harsh training session. Honestly, even Ameya had, with a few of her more strenuous maneuvers, become somewhat tired. She still had enough energy to travel back to Sunagakure that day, but too much longer and she may not have been able to. Our clan, our family, is scattered. I hardly know them, save for those that I've reached out to personally. Those few listen to me, but I'll need more for the end goal. I want us to be on the frontline, but in order to truly go home, it will have to be more than just us, she thought to herself. How do I reach out? Who do I find?

Ahri stirred, and Ame watched as the girl seemed to perk, then glanced about, some mixture of confusion and concern on her face. "Not just yet," she replied, shaking her head softly. "I figured we could talk a bit when you woke up." And I didn't want to just leave you to wake up alone, she silently added. Pulling her legs in under her as she sat, Ameya paused for a moment before asking, "What do you know about our clan, and our home?"
