Bloodline Name: Titan Shifters
Clan Name: Variable
Leader: Greed's Character
Village: Kumogakure

Clan Description:
“Of all the dark marks on shinobi history, that of the titan shifters remains one of the darkest. Long ago there were tales of a man who experimented upon shinobi for his own twisted purposes. While that man has faded in and out of history, his legacy remained with many. In the shadows of the world his followers would continue to carry out mad experiments on humans. One such experiment was that of the titan shifters. A small group of shinobi were injected with all sorts of serum. The particular combination that they received caused them to change form into a massive being that had incredible strength and agility. The being looked like a human, but at the same time, was frighteningly dissimilar, bearing no distinction between man and woman and a gaping face that would spawn nightmares in any who looked upon it. While in this state, those who transformed were powerful, but had little control and awareness of the outside world. The few who were experimented upon killed their torturers and were forever released into the world. Once this great power was discovered, it was feared by many. Some suggested that the beings be killed, others suggested that they be studied. Soon, however, it was found that the humans inside could learn to control their shift between their normal selves and their monstrous form. Upon this discovery, and with training, it was decided that the shinobi shifters would be divided among the villages, so that their power could be kept in control. What was not expected is that these experiments had as well permanently altered the DNA of the shinobi. When the shinobi titan shifters went on to have children, it was discovered that the children had their immense power as well.”
- A writing on the Titan Shifters, dated 714 AS

Once, long ago, there was a group of people who were following in the path of an ancient madman by performing sick experiments on other human beings. Most of these humans were abducted children barely older than toddlers. There were several different kind of experiments performed, and many of the children did not survive the ordeal. One of the more successful experiments turned the children into rampaging beasts who seemingly had no intelligence. After being stuck in this form for quite some time, the children would exit, exhausted and frequently with no memory of their time in this bestial form.

The beasts were, of course, the titans. Once perfected, this group of rogue ninja were sure they had come up with the ultimate evil warrior they could unleash upon the world. However, the villages had caught wind of their activities, and formed a secret coalition to take them down. Unfortunately by the time that the shinobi were able to intervene, many of the rogues were already killed by the beasts they had created. Nonetheless, he invasion of their hideout was successful, and the remaining rogues were captured or killed. The children whom had been experimented on were mostly nameless, either orphans or poor who nobody would have noticed was gone. The children were divied up amongst the lands and found patient and powerful teachers and caretakers who might understand what they’d been through and also help them learn to master what had happened to them.

One such person was Riku Oomori, raised a monk, who would later become the first of the group to truly master his titan form. Later in his life, he and his twin sister made it a mission to find all the others like them and bring them together. Riku and Rin had settled in Kumogakure, and had found acceptance among the ranks of the shinobi there for their terrible curse. Soon many of the other afflicted children were found, and Kumogakure became a haven for the Titan Shifters. Today, this is still where the majority of their descendants reside, though there are smatterings in other places. Since Riku’s times, the Titan Shifters have become a well known clan in Kumogakure, and their dark past has mostly been forgotten by the general populace (if it was ever known), and as such they’ve simply fallen into the ranks of normal shinobi life.

Clan Traits/Characteristics: The clan members have begun to form an official sorts of clan, and so have decided on the wings of freedom as an insignia. This represents the freedom from their ancestor’s captors, but also freedom from being controlled by the demons inside of them. They don’t have a common last name or common appearances, as their ancestors come from all over the shinobi world. They do, however, have a base within Kumogakure, a regular meeting hall and a normal clan set up with many of the members choosing to live close together. Because their shifting form and associated techniques are not considered ninjutsu but just something you expend chakra on, they can come from any origin; many are raised as monks or samurai due to their preference for peace aligning with that of monks and samurai.

Image

Clan Personality: Members of the clan can have appearances and personalities as different as night and day, but do tend to share a couple similar outlooks in common. One thing most members tend to have is a more peaceful outlook on the world, passed on from their predecessors who did not wish their powers to be used for harming others. Many also seek to gain control of the titan form and be cautious about its use. It’s possible that there are some who might want to use the power for evil, but they would be in the minority and looked down upon by other clan members.

Bloodline Description: The basic ability of the Titan shifters is that they can transform their bodies into a monstrous, more powerful version of themselves. The general appearance of the transformation is generic among individuals, but usually the individuals retain some characteristics of their old appearance which would make them identifiable. The Titans are large creatures, standing at 8 to 12 feet, with incredibly enlarged and muscular bodies. While in Titan Form, the user becomes naked and has no identifiable sex features. The Titans also have very large mouths with very large teeth capable of swallowing a human whole. The internal temperature of the body is also incredibly high, and when their skin is cut hot steam will erupt and potentially burn anyone in the nearby vicinity. The form’s skin is also very hard and nearly impenetrable, see below for constitution ratings and jutsu.

The Titan Shift is triggered by either a voluntary or involuntary administration of pain to the body. This is a little bit more than the biting the thumb blood offering of Kuchiyose; we’re talking some actual pain, like slicing your hand open or a bone being broken. If a user has higher constitution the form is usually only entered voluntarily, and the user may need to injure themselves to a greater degree to achieve the pain threshold necessary to transform, ie stabbing the stomach. The injury given heals whenever the user enters their titan form and won’t be present whenever they return to human form. It's also probably important to note that if it is a lethal attack (you get your head cut off, you get stabbed in your heart with low con) you don't transform, you just die.

In order to unlock this initial titan form, 500 CP must be expended. This CP does not count towards one’s ACP. A user can enter the titan form for an equivalent of an S rank amount of stamina. This stamina payment is not related to any FS and cannot be reduced. The time remaining in the titan form is based on the user’s stamina as follows:

Poor Stamina: Unable to transform
Average Stamina: 1 post
Proficient Stamina: 2 posts
Masterful Stamina: 3 posts
Epic stamina: 4 posts
Legendary stamina: 5 posts
Godlike stamina: 6 posts

As well, if the user falls below 25% of their stamina, they will automatically exit titan form. Exiting the titan form is not a simple process and the user does not simply ‘poof’ back to their normal self; it is mostly an RP aspect but could potentially be considered a weakness. The titan body ‘collapses’ into a pile of steaming carcass, and the user must wriggle themselves away from the body. The user cannot use titan form in the same topic again after they have exited their titan form.

The user gains boosts to some physical stats while they are in Titan form. There are several stages of mastery over their titan form.

Initial Stage: Unlocked upon unlocking Titan Form. While in titan form, the user’s wisdom immediately drops to poor. They are mindless in the form and will attack even their allies, whomever is nearest to them or whomever grabs their attention. During the initial stage, the user gains a tier to both strength and constitution that follows A rank diminishing return rules.

Stage 1: This stage costs 100 CP to unlock. The wisdom depletion is now -2 tiers. The user gains a tier +1 advantage to both strength and constitution that and a minor advantage to reflexes, all of which follow A rank diminishing return rules.

Stage 2: This stage costs 200 CP to unlock. The wisdom depletion is now -1 tiers. The user gains a tier +2 advantages to both strength and constitution and a major advantage to reflexes, all of which follow A rank diminishing return rules.

Stage 3: This stage costs 300 CP to unlock. The wisdom depletion while in titan form is now gone, and the user is fully lucid and themselves while they are in titan form. The user gains a two tier advantage to both strength and constitution and a tier advantage to reflexes, all of which follow A rank diminishing return rules.

Stage 4: This stage costs 400 CP to unlock. At this stage, the user does not gain any new stat benefits, but instead has exhibited a mastery of not only their titan form but using other jutsu in their titan form. Stage 4 negates the drawback of titans not being able to use chakra based attacks; titans in this stage can now use chakra based jutsu and energy based attacks. In addition, the coordination debuff during titan form is removed at this level of mastery.

The reflexes abilities of the titan hard cap at legendary reflexes and cannot go above this stat, even with the advantages in Stages 1 and above or any other boosters and natural base reflexes. Huge beasts can't move that fast.

The CP used to unlock each stage must be garnered while the user is in titan form. As in, you have to use titan form for 10 normal posts garnering +10 CP a post in order to get to unlocking stage one. Mission experience or sparring experience can count toward this, but things such as bonus experience cannot. As well, you do not have to actually spend this CP, you merely have to accumulate it in Titan Form. That being said, you have to accumulate the amount for each stage, ie once you accumulate the 100 CP for stage 1, it resets and you then have to accumulate 200 CP in titan form once more, so on and so forth.

The user can use taijutsu while they are in titan form, as well as any weapons if there is actually a weapon large enough for a titan to successfully utilize. They cannot use any other form of chakra expending sort of jutsu, though, including ninjutsu, genjutsu, fuuinjutsu, sensing jutsus, ijutsu, etc etc. They also cannot use buddhism or similar energy based attacks. This drawback is negated by stage 4 mastery. While using taijutsu or another weaponry fighting style, the fighting style boosts or any techniques used that boost will stack with the titan form.

Bloodline Limits: The titan form has a couple notable drawbacks. The first is that the experimentation on the bodies of the titans rendered their ability to use elemental ninjutsu useless. They cannot manifest their chakra in this way due to the way their DNA was altered. Also because of the harsh nature of the DNA, titan shifters cannot receive implants, nor can they give an implant to anyone else. They will die if they receive an implant, and anyone they give an implant to will die. The titan form also has a very glaring weakness in that there is a space on the back of the next where the user has entered the titan form that is very vulnerable to attack. It has an only average constitution and damaging it (slashing it, giving it a punch with masterful or higher strength) will cause the user to immediately exit their titan form.

Users can enter Titan form voluntarily, but they can also enter it involuntarily. If a great deal of pain is caused to them in a normal battle, they will enter the titan form against their will even if they don’t have it unlocked. If it is not unlocked, they are in initial stage and automatically take the penalties after exiting.

The titan form takes a toll on the user's body. After the user exits the titan form, they incur a physical disadvantage. The user receives a major disadvantage to their stamina and constitution for 1+(n-1) amount of time they were in the titan form (n being the number of posts they were in titan form). While the user is in titan form, they incur a tier disadvantage to coordination, as they are sort of gigantic lumbering beasts that can't really aim very well.

Clan Jutsu: I will add the other jutsu at some point.

Cool clan!

Few pointers that I mentioned to you as well on discord;

-The titan duration should be toned down.

-I would lower the disadvantages from the first level and then make them static onwards opposed to going from high disadvantages to almost non-existent

-Instead of static advantage (con, reflex, etc) boosts, you should let them scale up from low to high - according to level.

-add coordination debuff

-reflex stat should have a cap, as mentioned before, I'm not fond of watching such a big thing pulverize villages by just running over them with godlike speed.

- cooldown to re-enter titan form should be higher at later ranks.
