A splendid unit rivaling the mountain tops themselves carved the passage between Kumogakure and the rest of the world. Layered with accidentally aesthetic reinforcements stood the colossal gates, an icy fog radiating from its beams. Through traffic was slow, most travelers weary from the trek through the peaks. It made the passage of its shinobi even more distinct, and a shimmer of pride beaming from the people of the clouds echo'd their streak across the landscape.

Such recognition was absent at the time the brother of the Raikage and his Jounin counterpart passed underneath. An adjustment of a satchel on his shoulder was about the most attention one gave themselves. The grand leaps custom to traveling ninja would come later.

For the first time in a long while, Jun's affect matched that of the partner assigned to him for his mission. Blank, broadly uninterested in the view offered to them by the path past the gate, and equally as uninterested in the others that passed through that gate, he did not spare the time to do even so much as acknowledge the shinobi set to post at the gate.

Like Bii, they were ostensibly his peers. Unlike Bii, he had no reason to play house with them. They meant nothing to him, and their names were already forgotten to him in the exact instant that his eyes left them. His eyes went from the road before him to the sky above. The clouds were almost always close to the village that they hid.

Today they were gone.

The journey to Kumogakure had been a long one. Ryū was arriving, like many people, for the Cherry Blossom Festival that had been announced. It was going to be one of the largest celebrations in recent history. The magnitude of the situation made it even a little daunting, but he wasn't really that bothered by it.

The gates were crowded with an influx of people. Given the situation, that made sense, and it was fortunately a sunny day that was made all the better by the fresh springtime air. It was the kind of scene that only heightened Ryū's desire to view the blossoming trees.

To his dismay, but albeit expected, Ryū received strange looks from other arrivals at the gates. While shinobi might have only given him a passing glance of interest or curiosity, the citizens, especially those from outside the Land of Water, gave him gawking stares. He shifted uncomfortably, conscientious of every little twitch or movement of his tail, knowing that he was drawing attention. Each breath and the flex of his scales on his sides. He could see, though he could not read their lips, that they whispered things to each other, glancing in his direction. Ryū could guess the kinds of things that they were saying.

He could not hide his tail, though the scowling-faced man did pull his hood up over his face, letting his tail curl to be as small as it could, as he made his way into the village.

Exit.

With the extra time Manami had taken to reach the village, less people were there than there would have been earlier. It gave Manami some relief as she entered through the large gates of Kumogakure. It seems like they were being protected enough with the way that others were standing guard but Manami posed no threat to Kumogakure. She continued through with her hands relaxing behind her head and her large sword strapped tightly to her back. Manami was going to make this a good time for herself as long as she could. A faint hum was underneath her breath as she continued to walk forward.

The Hokage arrived without much fanfare, despite the celebratory attitude in the Land of Lightning. Given the theme of the event, she had opted on the first day for a half-length kimono depicting a flurry of sakura blossoms against a black background, the inner lining of the outfit pink. The finely made outfit was accented by long red ribbons with which she'd put her hair into the distinctive twintail style she usually wore, tiny bells near the bows announcing her with a soft jingle when she stepped. As she approached the guard, she smiled, pausing and batting her lashes once as he spoke, giving him the time to stumble briefly over his words, a rather polite questioning of her status as civilian or shinobi, and her name. "Uchiha Rei, Hokage," she replied, using every bit of her trained charm to seem as cooperative as possible while her hand reached into her kimono slowly, and produced a pass with genuine documentation.

"Ah, Hokage-dono, please, enter, and enjoy the festival!"
the man stated loudly, handing the identification back with an excited bow at the waist. She smiled and nodded, then moved through the gate.

Joining the crowds of people Akayami could hardly believe the number of people still arriving, greeting the guards with a simple nod and passing through the large gates. Lifting his head high he closed his eyes and took a deep breath through his nostrils, taking in various aromas from the food stalls that he was looking forward too. Picking up the pace Akayami searched for his comrades, surely Ryū would be noticeable from afar with the giant Samehada always strapped to his back. Here's hoping they've found the best barbeque in town! Salivating from the thought of all you can eat meat he almost felt bad for the owners with how much he planned to put away.

The Land of Lightning was a breath of fresh air with its vast mountain ranges topped with lofty clouds. Compared to the largely flat and dry Iwagakure he was eager to head out and take in the views and meet new people along the way. It had been quite some time since the Tsuchikage had some serious time off, thankfully the relatively peaceful times the villages lived in allowed for such things. Walking through the large gate Shinren nodded to the gate guards, his large hat doing the necessary introductions for him. "Shinren Kanaduchi. It's an honor to receive the Raikage's invitation."

The two guards bowed and received him before continuing their duties. "Yes, Tsuchkage-dono. Enjoy the festival!"

Kumo was huge, by its very nature. the mountain towered before the monk as he made his slow walk up the cliff faces. Had he not learned the art of walking on walls, this pilgrimage might have taken months, to accomplish, and it was only once he reached the top that he realized why. This was not the right side of the mountain. A mistake he was only sure of after he was hanging upside down on what was a large plateau'd disc carved out of the mountains top. Never the less he quickly made his way to the correct side of the mountain and slowly walked up the appropriate side to see the gates of heaven, as some called them.

Arano was a bit wide-eyed as she approached the gates. The Land of Lightning was way more mountainous then she had been expecting. It was a bit of a tough trip, well tougher then she had been expecting. But it was also an interesting trip. She had never traveled this far with both of her parents, and even they seemed a bit in awe of the mountainous terrain. At least now they were at the gates to Kumogakure, which in and of itself was an interesting village to see. So different then Konohagakure that’s for sure.
A grin overcame the young Uchiha as she ran off into the village.

Of all the villages that Isao's travels have brought him to, the Hidden Cloud was by far the most aesthetically appealing. Its trademark mountainous terrain and the modifications made to allow buildings and walkways to integrate seamlessly into that terrain gave a certain feeling, like what a bird must feel to fly along the sky. Say what one will about the lush forests of Konoha, the endless seas of Kiri, the sands of Suna, or the artistic rock formations of Iwa, but there was no feeling comparable to walking through the inside of an actual cloud.

The gates themselves were impressively -and possibly excessively- large, as were most village defenses. It didn't compare to the walls of Iwagakure, but it didn't need to. The real defense of the Hidden Cloud was the same reason why Isao very seldom worked there. With traveling space limited to specifically designed pathways and buildings, there were much fewer hiding places within the village than one would find in any of the others. Even Kirigakure, with its integration of a watery landscape, presented little difficulty to one with the right Ninjutsu. But what Ninjutsu would allow one to hide in the clouds?

The guards waylaid Isao before he could enter the threshold to the village. While this wasn't his first time visiting, this was his first time appearing under his own name. He made no efforts to mask his chakra and no attempt at a cover identity -though nor did he bear the gear of an Anbu. In his simple, civilian-style attire, the shinobi introduced himself without lie.

"Name and business?" One of the guards asked. They were pretty sure of the answer, but protocol dictate that they ask anyway.
"Isao Nakamura, of Konohagakure. I'm here for the festival." He answered politely, all too familiar with protocol, himself.
"Thank you, Mr. Nakamura. Please enjoy the festival" The guard responded after jotting some notes down on a scroll. It could be a tally, details of appearance, chakra levels, etc. -he didn't care and that's the beauty of this excursion. He didn't have to care.

It had been years since Raiden was back in Kumogakure. The journey back was filled with nostalgia, yet tinged with a foreboding aura that he just couldn't shake. Nevertheless, the boy found himself approaching the gates of his former village, and there was no turning back anymore.

While the average gate sentry might not recognize him in his current age, Raiden still took some precautions to avoid any trouble. A featureless straw hat rest atop his head, with small ornamental torques and tassels hanging down to obscure his face from the general public. A simple black linen travel cloak covered most of his body from the neck down, not only protecting him from the elements but also giving him additional anonymity as he made his way through the village gates.

Niko was showing up to Kumogakure for the fun. She had been here before when she was younger and on a mission, but never for fun casual reasons like this one. That was sure to be an entertaining time. So yeah she entered the village and stuff. Here are some sentences about that.

After a long trek, Reo's clone beheld the gates of Kumogakure before him. It had been years since he was here, and it had not been a long trip. He paused a moment to take in the site. It was more or less how he remembered. The more things change the more they stay the same. Wanting to nip this indulgent self reflection in the bud, Reo focused back on the moment at hand. Then, he went through the gate.

Finally, the young girl had made it all the way to Kumogakure! Arid picked up the pace, excited to see what she was missing out on. The journey was much longer than expected, and she had likely been too late for some of the opening ceremonies and activities. Hopefully, however, she would not be too late for everything, right?

Her poncho, long-since dried from the rains of her home country, kept her comfortably warm in the breezy mountaintops of the village. As Arid passed through the gates, she was sure to give a friendly nod to the sentries posted, signaling that she was no threat.

While the trip had been more anti-social than anticipated Shinren took full advantage of the many food delicacies available at the festival. With a full belly, the Tsuchikage made his way back to a life full of responsibility and what was sure to be a mountain of paperwork waiting for him on his desk. As he walked through the gates he turned around and stopped for a moment to take in the sights, he'd grown quite fond of the mountainous region and would miss their constant presence.

Thankfully their view wouldn't leave his sight while, making sure to take his time and make this vacation last as long as possible. He hadn't met with any of the other Kage, he assumed the Raikage would set up some sort of meeting for them but alas he was never made aware of any such gathering. The elder kage kept to his reclusive ways, missing out on any opportunities to mingle with the younger leaders.

Arriving alongside the unmistakably-dressed Kazekage, Jun had little in the way of concern as to the reaction of the gate's guards. A wave of observable uncertainty washed over them, followed by a mix of hostility and fear, as was typical, but they did not go further than to reach for their weapons. Obviously, they thought better of drawing on a visitor accompanying an invited dignitary, even if their hands left the pouches at their sides reluctantly. They would not be the ones to step out of line.

It was not the first time he had met such a response at a village's gates. He did not often travel to those outside his own country's sphere of influence anymore for that exact reason. All the same, his current company made it such that it did not matter. They would be left to approach, so Jun produced the papers assuring their identities and the details of their invitation to passage at the appropriate time, before stepping passed them when indicated that he'd be permitted to do so. Once through, he turned to the Kazekage.

"I can accompany you to the festival grounds, but I think that it would be best if I kept my distance from you." Those words were honest. Nisshoku would be better received by others if he did not have a spectre over his shoulder, no matter the justification for its presence. Jun knew he was not pleasant to be around, consequently giving some advantage to his absence. "I can stay close enough to hear if you call for me and look around the village in the meantime." He posed it as a suggestion, but in truth it was not, even if he'd begrudgingly follow any order given. He wanted to not feel as though he were on a leash.

Nisshoku and Jun arrived at the gates of Kumogakure, which is not the first time either of them have come here. But it's been a while since Nisshoku has or Jun that he can recall of but the view of the gate were like no other Kumogakure always had a beautiful view even if it was another village other than Sunagakure. Nisshoku and Jun walked up to the guards that seem tense and ready to attack but they knew better than to, not because they couldnt but they knew that both Nisshoku and Jun came for a reason. Jun gave the gaurds a paper that identified both of them and there reason why they are here.

Jun turned his attention towards Nisshoku as he spoke giving his suggestions which sounded more like demands to him, Nisshoku looked at Jun with a serious expression a Kage look in his face "As you wish" Nisshoku responded as he began to walk then stopped next to Jun's shoulder as he tilted his head a bit "do me a favor and try to get as much Intel as possible while we are here, things could get interesting" Nisshoku said as he continued to walk pass and towards the village.

The assent he received in reply was a small comfort, but it served Jun all the same. He nodded at the order his commander gave him, and moved off after him as soon as the Kazekage's feet carried him far enough in a direction that he could determine where he could move and keep well enough away. While inside the village's walls, he had a good degree less concern for his own safety, despite not having a patron to shield himself behind. Unlike the regard he had for the red-haired man, Jun was confident in his ability to look after himself. Beyond merely looking after himself, he was confident that in at least some regard, he'd be left able to look for another. He had his own interests to mind in the Land of Lighting, not just his master's.

After his long journey, Reo approached the gates of Kumogakure. It had not been all that long since he had last been here. Though its lofty heights were far removed from his down to earth nature, he couldn't help but appreciate the majesty of the place. He thought about picking up some more bbq. He also had come to make a delivery and hopefully visit a new friend. He felt the weight of precious cargo in his pack. He really needed to learn some fuuinjutsu soon... it just always seemed to be slightly lower priority than something else. Lost in thought, the guards waived him through and he was on his way.

After enjoying being back in kumogakure, Reo returned to the gates. He'd feasted at a local restaurant. He'd spent the night at a rather nice inn, and had thoroughly enjoyed the company he'd met. After a hasty breakfast he was back on his way. It was time to head out. He had a feeling he'd be back soon though... he was enjoying this village. He wondered what sites hie might see on the way back to Iwa? Perhaps he'd pick up some more work there. His pockets were feeling a bit light.

Nodding at the guards, they let him through the gates and he was on his way.

Reo approached the gates once again. He had enjoyed his little expedition, but the tournament was starting soon and he had to be there on time. The guards recognized him from his recent comings and goings and waived him on in. His stomach grumbled and he wondered if he would have time to eat before the fight.

The haiku bubbled up in his mind. He hoped he would remember it later so he could write it down. Reo continued on to the tournament grounds.

After a quick trip back home Shinren had made it back to Kumogakure, it seemed that the festivities had died down which meant the tournament was likely going on. Hopefully, I haven't missed too much. Last he saw there was at least one Iwagakure member participating so he was eager to come and see Reo's progress, running through the gates and streets to make his way to watch using the audiences cheering as a guide to finding them.

Haru approached the gates of kumogakure. It had been a long journey, made easier by joining up with a caravan heading this way. They were happy for the extra protection and he was happy to not have to walk the whole way himself. He'd went on ahead while they were going through customs. After a few brief questions, the guards admitted him to the village. He had missed the start of the tournament, but he was eager to catch the rest. He'd found one could learn almost as much from watching others as one could training themselves - up to a point at least- and this was a unique opportunity to view shinobi from other villages. While he was sure no trump cards would be exposed in a friendly tournament, he could view their soul through their fighting spirit. He hurried along to the arena.
