When the trio finally crossed the border, Yasei looked across the vast expanses of sand and sighed. Whether it was a sigh of relief, or of resignation, was up to the beholder. For him, however, it was a mix of the two. Yasei was relieved to be so close to the finish line, close to making it home so that he could turn in his mission and not have to deal with his glorified chaperone. Chouka turned out to not be so bad, which only left more conflict in his heart. He felt bad for wanting to get away from the two, but being alone was where his best work manifested. Maybe, maybe, he'd make it a point to at least catch up with her on occasion. On the other hand, the genin was dreading the return to Sunagakure. Being surrounded by an ocean of dunes and freedom wasn't very cash money when he was still shackled by the concept of rehabilitation for his actions.
All that thought abruptly socked him in the face when Nisshoku let out an exclamation, before turning before the two. The ANBU's mouth opened to inhale before speaking, and Yasei's brow furrowed. "Just one more speech, Yasei... You only have to survive through one more speech...." The teen thought, sweat nearly manifesting just to bead off of him cartoonishly. Nisshoku had some plans for the two, offering a sparring session out in the desert, as well as a potential offer for a team to be formed. Yasei's hand waved these away. "Mmmmmm, pass. I'm honestly pretty relieved to almost be done with this, so I can, like, uh.... not have to associate with you anymore." He skipped a beat before turning his attention to Chouka. "--You're cool, though. Let's get lunch sometime, or something. I'unno."
Right as Nisshoku began to head off, he spoke again, this time offering to speak with the Kazekage about the current state of Yasei's sentence. This confused the shaggy-haired thief, whose presence alone should have indicated that he was no longer imprisoned. In response, Yasei held his hand up a bit and jingled the short chain of the shackle that was still firmly locked around his wrist. "You know that my release was the reason why I was assigned to this mission, right? I'm not even locked up anymore." The ANBU turned heel and continued on towards the gates and Yasei followed in tow.
