Like many mornings in Kemurigakure, fog hung thick to the ground; the remnants of the land of rain. Similarly, like many mornings, Tsume Yuki could be found out and about training this way or that. This morning she was training her cardio but taking a lap around the village. Breath burst in small spurts in the chilly morning air as the young Genin huffed and puffed her way through the jogging. Her glasses were slightly fogged, a poor job at hiding the girl's blazing blue eyes. Sweat and condensation matted her shaggy silver hair to her head, "It's only been an hour and I'm already sweating this bad? I'll just have to try harder!" the girl's small but slightly coarse voice peeped out between deep breaths. She thoroughly enjoyed these early morning runs. The village was quiet for the most part and the air was cool enough to run in but not too cold as to burn her lungs, it was one of the many miracles that came with living in Kemurigakure. Another one of these miracles was simply waking up and getting to go for her jog. So many other shinobi, people, mothers, would never get that experience again. That was why she trained so hard and lived so fast. At any time it could all be taken away.
She began to throw in a jab here, a hook there, another layer of training to her run. She got lost in the rhythm, entranced by the movements. Her body just did what it knew to do while her mind wandered. What do I do against people like those twins or Jurojin? All of my weapons just bounce off their skin like they mean nothing. I know that's not true, ninja tools are the superior way to fight, why else would they exist? I just need...something to help me cut through those defenses. Wind is good at cutting through things, or lightning, but I don't have any elements like that. If I just knew how it worked, maybe I could apply it to my normal chakra? Ugh, why did I have to be born so talentless?
The sound of a second set of feet caught the young Yuki's ears, her head perking up from it's slightly lowered position. She caught sight of a figure ahead of her, but mainly the smallest glint of metal that shone with each step. It looked as if it were a forehead protector worn around the tall, white-haired figure's leg. Jogging past him, she cut her eyes down to discern if what she thought was true. Turns out, it was indeed a Kemurigakure insignia! She jogged a bit further in front of him and then turned on the spot, "I don't think I've ever seen you around, but you have a headband just like me, so that makes us both shinobi. I'm Tsume Yuki, nice to meetcha!" The girl flashed a toothy half-grin as she removed her glasses to wipe the lenses free of the fog. She was always ready to meet new people and make new friends, but deep down she was really only looking for a sparring partner. Running was well and good, but fighting, that was really a miracle.
