At 300 total experience D-rank techniques no longer require word counts.
At 450 total experience C-rank techniques no longer require word counts.
At 1000 total experience you can learn A ranks (without a sensei).
At 1200 total experience B-Rank techniques no longer require word counts.
At 1500 total experience you gain an additional fighting style raise(requires no word counts, must be taught IC by someone with the correct fighting style and level you wish to achieve.)
At 2000 total experience you may learn a 2nd element(assuming you don't already have one) from someone who already has the desired element. Requires no word count.
At 2500 total experience you gain access to learning S rank techniques (without a sensei).
At 4000 total experience A-rank techniques no longer require word counts.
At 5000 total experience S-rank techniques no longer require word counts.
At 6000 total experience you may learn a final 3rd basic element from someone who already has the desired element. Requires no word count.
That's how we have it now. A-Ranks requiring no word count seems super awkwardly placed to me. The 1500 exp gap between the 2500 exp perk and 4000 exp perk leaves a large portion of mid-game exp levels barren of development, and is a higher gap than any other two perks. Makes more sense to me that there would be a wider gap in the later ones(particularly with something more important like S-Ranks and 3rd elements).
That said, I proposed in Staff Chat an adjustment to the last three, shifting it to 3000 exp for A-Ranks, 4500 for S-Ranks, and 6000 still for the 3rd element.
Austin, Skia, and myself have spoke of being in favor. Throwing it up for anyone else who has an opinion on this, or has a different suggestion.
